Teil, also Anne in Avonlea:
Verfilmt wurde das ganze wohl 1972 und 1975:
Diese Verfilmungen wurden mich ja sehr interessieren!!!

Ich weiss jetzt, warum nur "Anne of Avonlea" wieder auf DVD rauskommt:
This serial is considered lost.
Der BBC hat irgendwann angefangen aus Platzgründen zu entrümpeln und zu spät eingesehen, was für ein riesiger Fehler das war. Jetzt suchen die teilweise per Anzeigen nach verschollenen Filmen.
Zitat:
Explaining why it's 'lost.':
I'd like to offer an explanation on how this Anne mini-series probably came to be "lost" by the BBC, I hope you will all find it interesting.
Back in the 1960s and 1970s, the BBC Archives were becoming overcrowded, and there was a massive purge of many programs. Back then, the actors' union (Equity) imposed limits on the use of programs, usually 1 UK broadcast and one repeat. This being before the proliferation of home video, many programs were seen as having no further commercial potential. The BBC's charter only mandated that serials shot on film be preserved, but many filmed programs were also destroyed. This destruction went on for at least 5 years before the BBC (and other UK television companies) realized what a mistake they were making.
Many thousands of hours of television were destroyed by the BBC and the ITV companies. Nearly the entire first season of the classic series "The Avengers" is missing, a large chunk of the comedy "Til Death Us Do Part" (on which the American series "All in the Family" was based) are gone, 108 episodes are currently missing from the sci-fi series "Doctor Who," even the pilot of the much-loved "Are You Being Served?" was junked (but later discovered as a black-and-white film recording of the original color videotape.) "Anne" was no doubt destroyed in this purge.
However, all is not lost. In the 1980s, efforts by fans to locate missing episodes began turning up surprising finds. By contacting stations in other countries who had bought BBC programming, many lost episodes turned up. Several hundred TV episodes have been returned to the BBC (usually b&w film copies of color programs.) As the years progressed, less material has been rediscovered, but sometimes clips turn up from use in other shows.
"Anne of Avonlea" either escaped the junkings or was rediscovered later.
So, all hope is not lost for the 1972 "Anne of Green Gables." I'll ask around amongst Doctor Who fans I know who are involved in missing episode hunting, perhaps they know something about the overseas sale of "Anne of Green Gables."
